WHO WE ARE

CASA Volunteers (Court Appointed Special Advocates) are appointed by Geauga County Juvenile Court Judge Timothy J. Grendell to advocate for the best interests of children who are the victims of parental abuse/neglect/dependency. CASA for Kids of Geauga County is a program of the Geauga County Juvenile Court since 1997, that provides support and advocacy to children in Geauga County.

There are 46 programs in the State of Ohio and 950 in the nation.

MISSION

The mission of CASA is to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court. We promote and support quality volunteer representation for children to provide each child a safe, permanent, and nurturing home.

Make a Difference

Volunteers from all cultures, professions, ethnic, and educational backgrounds are welcome. They receive 32 hours of training in such areas as courtroom procedure, the laws that affect the decisions, social services, and the special needs of abused and neglected children.
