The Juvenile Division promotes public safety by guiding behavioral reform of juveniles through consequences that balance discouraging recidivism and encouraging rehabilitation, with the ultimate goal of reunifying families and helping children become productive members of society. The Juvenile Court hears cases alleging a child to be delinquent, unruly, abused, neglected, dependent, or a juvenile traffic offender; adult paternity; child custody, support, parenting time and companionship time cases; juvenile protections orders; and other miscellaneous cases.

About the Judge & Juvenile Department

As Judge of the Juvenile Division of the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas, Judge Timothy J. Grendell is responsible for administering juvenile justice and rehabilitation. Judge Grendell’s primary interests are protecting the children of Geauga County, their families, and members of the community.
